CHANGING TIDES FOUNDATION PARTNERS WITH SLO ACTIVE, TO INSPIRE BEGINNER SURFERS

We are happy to partner with fierce female-led brand, SLO active, to inspire beginner surfers to go and explore the oceans, through the launch of our collaborative Beginner's Guide to Surfing focusing on getting more ladies in the lineup.

Have you always wanted to try surfing, and didn’t know how to start? The Beginners Guide to Surfing contains helpful guidance for those who are new and interested in the sport.

Surfing is about connecting with the ocean and embracing the elements in all their forms. It requires adaptability and resilience, and in return provides a euphoric feeling of freedom and independence. Although the world has changed a great deal recently, with COVID-19 and travel limitations, surfing is still something we can turn to for activity, exercise and wellness, especially since we are naturally social distancing in the water and as long as we surf responsibly, we can still enjoy our favorite activity.

So, when our friends at SLO active reached out to join forces on the Beginners Guide to Surfing, it was a no-brainer. This informative guide will help beginner surfers make the first steps into the ocean. The Guide includes FAQ’s about the sport, as well as in-depth information including the basics of surfing, guidance on choosing the right surfboard, the differences in waves, different surf maneuvers, surf fitness, the rules of surfing and water safety, all factors that are important to know when beginning to surf.

To celebrate, SLO active is giving our users a discount code ‘CHANGINGTIDES15’  for their Clean Lines Collection.

About SLO active:

SLO active is a lifestyle brand with a purpose: to protect the ocean through grassroots activism, selling sustainable luxury ocean wear and sharing profits with their ocean partners. For every piece bought, SLO active will donate to one of their ocean charity partners of your choice, and plant one tree – they call it ‘Earth to Ocean’. SLO’s entire first collection is made in Italy, delicately crafted using the most cutting-edge sustainable material, Yulex Pure, a plant-based alternative neoprene.

About Changing Tides:

While originally formulated as a natural, non-toxic, and antibiotic-free wound care spray for athletes to speed healing and reduce infection (which it can still be), what’s got us super stoked is its use as a doctor-recommended, face-safe, antimicrobial spray that packs a one-two punch keeping your skin free of harmful microorganisms while supporting the skin's natural healing mechanisms against cuts, insect bites, sunburns and more.
