CLEAN MEXI-AGUA FILTERS DELIVERED TO LA TICLA

by Becky Mendoza July 18, 2016

Just recently we had our first Changing Tides Foundation traveler success story.  Denise and Casey decided to take a summer road trip from San Diego to Central America, surfing and camping along the way. They contacted us and let us know that they would be passing through coastal Jalisco in Mainland Mexico, which is where our Clean Mexi-Agua program is based, and they wanted to see how they could help. We put them in touch with team-member, Jehan that lives in community of Arroyo Seco. They coordinated with Jehan, who gave them 2 buckets and filters and instructed them on the setup, use and maintenance of the filters. Denise and Casey were able to use their discretion to decide where they felt the filters were necessary. They decided on La Ticla, and left the filter setups at the elementary school and in the health center in town.  They were so stoked to add a deeper purpose to their adventure and to have the opportunity to SERVE NATURALLY.
