Founded by a Surfing Sisterhood, Changing Tides Foundation focuses on growing diverse communities.

We tackle global challenges and drive change through female-based education and community-building activities.

We promote gender equity, social justice and ocean health.

Our goal is to activate individuals and communities to participate in global solutions that benefit our environment and contribute to a more equitable world for all.

WOMP

Our Women’s Outreach Mentorship Program (WOMP) in Southern California is a 6-week program for teenage girls to introduce them to the ocean, and to create bonds and self-esteem through sisterhood and lessons such as body positivity, journaling, and menstrual health.

Our WOMP 2025 partners with the Monarch School in San Diego, as well as the GroundSwell Community, to offer access to surfing to unhoused teenage girls.
