CTF x Kateboards Surf & Skate Meetup Recap

On Saturday June 10th, our CTF members here in San Diego joined the beautiful Kateboards community and had an epic day of surfing and skating at Cardiff Reef. We wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate everyone that has supported us, especially our Tide Shifter and Tide Changer Members, and also share the work that CTF and Kateboards are doing.

June gloom didn’t hold us back from warming up with some Bird Rock coffee and getting after some small swells. It was awesome to see everyone cheering each other on waves and checking out everyone’s individual surf styles. Laysea Hughes hung out in the water to take some pics while Jacky Klaiber got some cool drone shots from above.

After we all caught some waves, Kateboards led us on a cruisy skate along the Coastal Rail Trail, complete with a few little hills to slide down and a skateboard barrel! We even picked up some more friends along the way.

We cooled back off on the beach with some refreshing Bambucha and Liquid Death. And we got stoked on a sweet raffle with prizes from Avasol, Creatures of Leisure, Layday Towels, Otis Eyewear, Threadspun, Kateboards, and CTF. Your membership sign ups and raffle ticket sales from the day went directly to CTF to support our programs like WOMP throughout the year.

We want to thank everyone who showed up to support our community. We loved shredding with you all making new connections.
